On this page I am going to discover a specific bread. I start with Tartine
I love Tartine country bread. I love the taste, the looks and the smell. Of course there are more breads we love; Royal Crown’s Tortano (Peters favorite), Brown Sourdough Mountain, Brown Country Semi Sourdough, Sourdough Ciabatta, and….. In fact there are so many. And probably much more I haven’t tried yet.
As I said before “I love Tartine country bread”. I’m new into Artisan bread baking and almost every week I use a new bread recipe. This is a nice way of learning a lot. But, this time I want to bake this bread more than once and also post on it. I think I improve my skills by doing it again and again.
I place my experiences on this page. Coming months I shall bake and compare and learn. I hope you will enjoy it too.
It all started with a video of Chad Robertson in his shop Tartine in
. You can feel he loves to bake good artisan bread. In this video he talked about the importance of slow and cool proofing of the loaves. He said it gives the bread more flavor. Here you find the original recipe. California
